A Dream Indian Wedding in Sardinia
In the heart of Sardinia, the ITI Marina Beach Resort in Orosei hosted an extraordinary three-day Indian wedding, steeped in tradition, color, and love. Rachel and Greg, she of Indian origin and he from Gabon, traveled from Texas to celebrate their special day, blending diverse cultures and welcoming guests from around the world. This event, divided into four key moments, transformed the resort into a stage of emotions, masterfully captured through our photography. Each moment began with a “first look,” an intimate instant that set the tone for every phase of the celebration.
Day 1: The Pithi Ceremony, a Vibrant Beginning
The festivities kicked off with the Pithi ceremony, an Indian ritual of purification and blessing. The first “first look” saw the couple meet under the Sardinian sun, sharing an emotional moment that set the tone for the day. Dressed in traditional attire and surrounded by turmeric powder and flower petals, they created an atmosphere of joy and spirituality. Guests from different continents joined in with enthusiasm, forming a unique cultural mosaic that we captured in every detail.
Day 2: The Energy of the Garba Night
The second day was dedicated to the Garba Night, an evening of traditional dances that turned the resort into a whirlwind of music and movement. The day began with the second “first look,” an intimate encounter between the couple in fresh attire, setting the stage for the evening’s energy. Circular dances, accompanied by Indian melodies, united the guests in a burst of vitality, illuminated by the resort’s lights and the Mediterranean ambiance. Each shot reflects the cultural connection and joy of this unique moment.
Day 3: The Pinnacle of the Wedding
The third day marked the climax of the celebration, split into two parts: the morning wedding ceremony and the grand evening party.
The Morning Ceremony
The day began with the third “first look,” an emotional moment that preceded a vibrant procession. The groom, joined by guests, danced and sang their way to the ceremony venue. The ceremony took place in a field in front of the ITI Marina Beach Resort, with the resort itself as a breathtaking backdrop. Under a mandap adorned with flowers and colorful fabrics, the couple celebrated traditional Indian rituals, surrounded by the natural beauty of Sardinia and the warmth of their guests.
